"Change, Change, Change"

If you can't find the humor in it, growing older will amount to nothing more than a long, ugly slide into hot flashes, brittle bones and St. John's Wort. Read how I have embraced middle age (and my midriff bulge) here and how we women of a certain age are affirmed here .

I loved the article. no matter how old we are, we women can share thoughts with other women. men are not taught to share and can't understand how a women can have a conversation with a total stranger on personal things like hot flashes or the new color of her hair. i love it and celebrate the fact that i belong to the sisterhood!

This column is not only one of the best pieces I've read on the challenges of mid-life, but one of the most humorous. As a publisher of 50Fabulous.com, I speak with 50+ women every day. We are all in the process of "reinventing" ourselves in some way (or nature is doing it for us)and a great sense of humor is a must-have for this journey. Thank you for this very fun column!
